Maternity care is continuously evolving. While primary care providers play a huge role in maternity care, the services of nurses and doulas are on the rise now more than ever before. Today’s mothers are well-informed and are following their individual needs rather than following the fads. Strengthening maternity care for all women can improve birth outcomes, lower infant mortality, and reduce costs of care.
