President and Executive Producer
Steve Adubato, Ph.D., enjoys a distinguished career as a broadcaster, author, syndicated columnist, university professor, lecturer and motivational speaker. A trainer and coach in the areas of leadership and communication skills, Steve also served in the mid 1980’s as New Jersey’s youngest state legislator at the age of 26.
Steve currently anchors three television series produced by the Caucus Educational Corporation (CEC) — State of Affairs with Steve Adubato, the weekly, public policy series exploring the critical issues being addressed in the New Jersey Statehouse; One-on-One with Steve Adubato, the nightly series that brings viewers in-depth interviews with some of the region’s most compelling personalities, including artists, authors, academics, media personalities, health experts and sports icons; and our newest series, Think Tank with Steve Adubato, featuring leaders, innovators and experts who explore the critical issues, trends and challenges facing society today. Steve has also anchored many high-profile television specials including an exclusive, primetime special with US Senators, Bob Menendez and Cory Booker. Steve has been the recipient of four prestigious Emmy® Awards for his work on public television, including “Best Host,” from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Vice President, Director of Development
For the past 20 years, as Director of Development for the Caucus Educational Corporation (CEC), Mary Gamba has worked closely with Steve Adubato and the CEC fundraising team to develop, guide and oversee the growth and management of the CEC from a small, single-program production company into the multi-media content provider it is today.
Mary’s expertise focuses on client service, team coaching and engagement and overall sponsor relations to ensure satisfaction on all aspects of each partnership. She works closely with the CEC fundraising team to continually meet and exceed the individual needs of current and prospective underwriters.
Mary has also been a major influence on the development and execution of Stand & Deliver: Communication Tools for Tomorrow’s Leaders—a youth leadership program serving over 400 young adults in Newark, Paterson and Union County. Mary works hand in hand with the Stand & Deliver project director and workshop leaders to design and customize the curriculum, plan and execute weekly workshops, symposia and special events, and is the program director for the annual “Night of Eloquence,” the culminating celebration of the program and the largest fundraiser for the organization.
Vice President, Marketing and Sponsor Relations
Laura oversees all aspects of marketing strategy, communication and branding for Steve Adubato, the Caucus Educational Corporation and its three programs, One-on-One with Steve Adubato, State of Affairs with Steve Adubato and Think Tank with Steve Adubato. The CEC’s marketing efforts include print advertising, banner advertising, social media, content sharing, email marketing and website management.
As the head of Sponsor Relations, Laura is responsible for managing the business development pipeline with both existing and potential underwriters for the CEC. She works directly with c-level executives and decision-makers at organizations ranging from small non-profits to large-scale corporations and institutions in New Jersey who see the value in supporting the CEC’s programming initiatives. Laura is responsible for maintaining these relationships, as well as seeking new and creative ways to engage in new partnerships.
Executive Producer, One-on-One with Steve Adubato and Special Projects
Jen Icklan is an Emmy® Award-nominated producer with over 13 years’ experience in the control room and in the field. As Executive Producer at the Caucus Educational Corporation, Jen oversees the production of the PBS program, One-on-One with Steve Adubato, which features CEO’s, non-profit leaders, television personalities, professors, artists, authors and educational innovators. Jen also acts as Executive Producer on special projects, including on-location shoots.
Jen comes to the Caucus Educational Corporation from Bloomberg where she served as a Coordinating Producer for Bloomberg TV’s technology show, Bloomberg West, which covered innovation and the future of business. Prior to Bloomberg, Jen was a lead producer at Fuse News, Fuse TV’s flagship daily music show. Jen started her career at CNN assuming a variety of roles, including the NY Assignment Desk, Anderson Cooper 360 and CNN’s Money Unit, where she honed her skills on some of the biggest stories in the last decade including Hurricane Katrina and the financial crisis.
Executive Producer, State of Affairs with Steve Adubato & Program Director
Jacqueline Heyer oversees all aspects of State of Affairs with Steve Adubato, which features New Jersey’s top government and industry leaders, policy experts and pundits.
Jacqueline is also the Program Director for the CEC, creating regional public affairs programming for some of the country’s most-watched PBS stations (Thirteen/WNET, NJTV), as well as various other public television and cable outlets. The widely-viewed and enduring series include State of Affairs with Steve Adubato; One-on-One with Steve Adubato, and Think Tank with Steve Adubato.
Senior Producer, Think Tank with Steve Adubato
As the Senior Producer of Think Tank with Steve Adubato, Nicole oversees the booking and production of the Caucus Educational Corporation's newest series. Nicole manages pre-production preparation, production day details and post-production editing.
Additionally, Nicole is a segment producer for One-on-One with Steve Adubato, State of Affairs with Steve Adubato and on-location productions, working with guests on talking points, preparing the host for the segment and producing the segment on-site.
Nicole also assists with creative aspects of the Marketing team’s social media campaigns and print and online advertising.
Nicole received her Television Production degree with minors in Graphic Design and Fine Arts from Seton Hall University in May 2016.
Senior Producer, Digital and Post Production
Lauren is a skilled producer and journalist with over 10 years of experience in the field.
As the Senior Digital Producer, Lauren produces all of the CEC's social content, focusing on attracting and engaging viewers, while implementing creative strategy to reach larger audiences.
Lauren is also a booker/producer across all of the CEC's series (One-on-One with Steve Adubato, State of Affairs with Steve Adubato and Think Tank with Steve Adubato), producing informative and educational television programming from the control room and in the field.
As the Senior Producer, Post Production, Lauren is responsible for line producing each of the CEC's programs including creating rundowns, leading the control room crew during tapings, and managing the editing process through delivery for broadcast.
Lauren was a producer at the CEC from 2014-2017, before leaving to pursue a master's degree in journalism at New York University. Before returning to the CEC in 2019, Lauren honed her journalism skills by reporting on NYC's five boroughs for Spectrum News NY1, and working in CNN's Social TV department where she wrote stories and produced social content viewed by millions.
Lauren holds a bachelor's degree in broadcasting with a minor in communication studies from Montclair State University and a master's degree in journalism from New York University.
As an Associate Producer, Mikaela assists in all aspects of pre-production and production for all of the CEC programing including One-on-One with Steve Adubato, Think Tank with Steve Adubato and State of Affairs with Steve Adubato. She books guests for tapings, conducts pre-interviews, prepares the host for interviews and produces segments on-site. Mikaela is in charge of organizing all notes and supplies for production days.
In addition, Mikaela also manages the SteveAdubato.org website. She is responsible for updating all website elements, including the sliders, weekly home page promotions and featured guest testimonials.
Mikaela received her bachelor’s degree in Digital Media: Film, TV, and Radio from Rider University in May, 2018.
Georgette Reilly Timoney is an Emmy® Award-nominated freelance producer who has been associated with Steve Adubato’s television programs since 2002. Georgette specializes in booking guests from the worlds of the Arts, Entertainment, Media, and Politics and excels in preparing both interviewer and guest for their interview. Georgette has also worked with a global network out of Istanbul, Turkey.
Georgette provides media & communications coaching services and works as a speechwriter for corporate and arts & entertainment clients (including actor Bryan Cranston of TV’s “Breaking Bad”).
Georgette is also a professional actor (member Actors Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild) and a veteran voice actress who can be heard on many Japanese anime (including the long-running TV series “Pokémon”).
Georgette earned her Bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University, and her Master’s degree from Rutgers University.
Jacqui Tricarico is a Freelance Producer for One-On-One with Steve Adubato, State of Affairs with Steve Adubato, Think Tank with Steve Adubato and select on-location shoots.
Jacqui has over 10 years of experience in Television Production & Project Management. She served as an Executive Producer at the Caucus Educational Corporation from 2009-2014. Jacqui also served as a teaching assistant for Steve Adubato at NYU, Seton Hall, NJIT and Montclair State University.
In addition to her Freelance work with the Caucus Educational Corporation, Jacqui also freelances with Rutgers iTV Studio.
Jacqui holds a bachelor's degree in television broadcasting from Montclair State University.
Aimee Brooks is a veteran producer with over 25 years of Network Broadcast experience.
Aimee spent many years at CBS News where she worked as a Senior Writer/Producer in Creative Services. Prior to CBS, Aimee held several roles at NBC including coordinating producer, production associate and page for NBC studios.
As a freelance producer, Aimee works in all aspects of pre-production and production for all CEC programing. Aimee also produces CEC content shared on partner, NJ-centric websites.
Aimee received her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Rider University.
Elvin A. Badger is an Emmy® Award winning director with over 15 years of experience directing live and studio television.
Elvin currently directs State of Affairs, Think Tank and One-on-One for the Caucus Educational Corporation.
Elvin also directs various programming at NJTV, including NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams, On The Record with Michael Aron, Reporters Roundtable, Matter of Faith & any special events such as the NJ debates and the NJTV In Your Neighborhood series.
Elvin has worked for several companies over his career including CUNY TV, Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Fox News & Activision and has directed Moyers & Company, Theater Talk, SciTech Now & Long Island Business Report, which airs on PBS.
